Netspeed uses a patented and proprietary method of compressing standard graphic images found on the Internet and in POP3 e-mail. Acceleration is dependent upon a client application that runs on a special compression computer provided by QuikCat Technologies.

Netspeed requires very little interaction from the user. It is designed to work behind the scenes with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher and Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express. The most common interaction that a user has on a day-to-day basis occurs when different speed settings or image qualities are desired.

It is recommended that users disable Norton Anti-Virus or any other anti-virus software when installing or uninstalling the NetSpeed software. All Anti-Virus software should be enabled again after installing or uninstalling to protect your system.
